Deviation Actions
Well, since right now we don't have enough judges to be fair on any literature or art contest, I'm going to hold a contest based on numbers!
It's time for a....
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE!!!
That's right! We're going to have a contest to see who can get the most people to join! The numbers will be tricky to count however, so to make things easier, here are the rules...
Advertise the group in anyway you can think of! Journal, forum thread, a special deviation, etc...
You must ask the new members to tell me who recruited them. You can also tell me if there was a certain deviant that you got to join. (No cheating!)
New members are welcome to join in the fun as well!
Prizes!
I don't have much to offer just yet, so if anyone is interested in contributing to a prize, please... please note me!
Here's what you'll get right now...
1st place:
In-depth feature on both my ThiranosTales account and blog.
ThiranosTales will draw a request from you! (Not a great prize, but what makes it great is how much you'll laugh at the horrendousness when you see it...)
A short story from ThiranosTales built around any prompt you choose!
Poem based on requested word or phrase from JustMac-Art!
2nd place:
A short feature to share with 3rd place on ThiranosTales account and blog.
A special poem from ThiranosTales built around any word you choose.
3rd place:
A short feature to share with 2nd place on ThiranosTales account and blog.
The contest ends at midnight (EST) on Nov. 22nd!
Please help us build this group! I want this to be an amazing group! My next goal is to hit 40 members. Once we do this, I'll have our first real Literature contest!
Also, a reminder, if anyone is interested in being future judges or administrators for the group (or willing to be contacted for prize contributions), please let me know!
Let's get out there and grow ppl!

Heartfelt Apology to the Group
Hi all,
So many things have happened in the past three years (divorce, promotion, family death, marriage, became a step mom, bought a house, etc.). I truly owe everyone here a heartfelt apology.
As per the previous contest, I have donated points to our winners. I apologize because at the time, I could not find the appropriate amount of points to donate. Needless to say, here are the following winners for the Simplicity Contest:

May's Springboard Challenge!
Directions: Use this poem as a springboard for your own writing. Read the poem (out loud, preferably, as poetry is meant to be heard with the ear, not just inside the head). Write down any words or phrases that jump out at you. Use those words or phrases to write your own poem (or essay or story). Place the piece in the Monthly Springboard Challenge folder by the 20th of the month, and read the other entries in it also!
This month, our poem is by Juan Felipe Herrara, the US Poet Laureate.

Monthly Poetry Challenge
To get us up and running again, #dA-WritersRevolution (https://www.deviantart.com/da-writersrevolution), staring in May, is sponsoring a poetry challenge each month. This will be a springboard poem challenge, meaning that we will post a poem, which you, the poet, will use as a springboard to write your own poem. We will post them, vote on them, and the winners will get a prize of some sort.
That leads me to you, our members....we need judges, prize givers, and of course, participants. If you'd like to help in any capacity, please let the admin know!
Let's make our group active again, and place where we can improve our craft.

I've written a journal, though it's a bit short as I'm heading out the house at the moment.

I don't have many followers, so this won't really spread it too much, but I hope I've helped. :3
